Heartbreaking betrayals, implausible plots and hearts that break under the cruelty of incredible revelations that run through this novel. The reader is not bored by following the footsteps of Olivia especially when she crosses the path of Samson. If she's smart, touching and naive, he is arrogant, possessive and controlling. He gives you goose bumps with its authoritarian character and the distance he puts between himself and others to avoid being betrayed again.

Un roman rythmé, animé et tendre qui une fois la dernière page terminée vous laisse avec un rayonnant sourire sur le visage. Un voyage dépaysant et olfactif dans le 19e siècle où le lecteur est embarqué de Londres à Paris en passant par Grasse (sud de la France) en compagnie de Lady Olivia à la recherche de son mari. Un vilain vicieux, intéressé uniquement par son héritage, qui l'a humilié en l'abandonnant le soir de leur nuit de noce.

Des trahisons déchirantes, des complots invraisemblables et des coeurs qui se brisent sous la peine des révélations incroyables qui parcourent ce roman. Le lecteur ne s'ennuie pas en suivant les pas d'Olivia surtout lorsqu'elle croise le chemin de Samson. Si elle est intelligente, naïve et touchante, il est arrogant, possessif et dominateur. Il vous donne la chair de poule par son caractère autoritaire et la distance qu'il met entre lui et les autres pour éviter de s'attacher et d'être trahi à nouveau.
